Stop Wall Street From Buying Our Neighborhoods Walter will take on hedge funds and Wall Street investors who are making it difficult for families to afford homes. A house should belong to a family, not a portfolio. Build More Housing—Faster and Smarter You can’t solve a shortage without building more homes. Walter will strengthen and modernize the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program and cut federal red tape to speed up construction of mixed-income, workforce, and ‘missing middle’ housing. Protect and Preserve What We Have Walter will invest in revitalizing existing housing stock to maintain their affordability, so families aren’t displaced as property values rise. Walter supports national standards for use of force, greater transparency, and independent investigations of misconduct.
