Walter R. Kirkland will join First Baptist Church of Glenarden International for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Days of Service on January 17 and 19, uniting volunteers from across the region to serve families and individuals in need.
In the spirit of Dr. King’s call to service, volunteers will come together to assemble care kits, serve meals, pack groceries, support homeless shelters, and engage in hands-on community outreach. The event emphasizes the power of collective action and the belief that meaningful change begins with service to others.
Walter Kirkland’s participation reflects his long-standing commitment to community partnership, compassion, and leadership rooted in action. Throughout his career, Walter has worked alongside faith-based organizations, nonprofits, and local leaders to support families, uplift communities, and create pathways to opportunity.
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Days of Service serve as a reminder that progress is built not only through words, but through service, unity, and a shared responsibility to care for one another.
